Supported Independent Living

Empowered Futures SIL supports offer you independence, and the opportunity to receive the support you need whilst living in a home you love.

What is Supported Independent Living?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a type of in-home support that can be delivered by our highly trained, experienced and caring support workers within your current home or your chosen shared NDIS housing.

SIL is a support that aims to help you live as independently as possible while building your skills with daily tasks such as cleaning, nutrition and medication management.

Depending on your goals and working within your available NDIS funding, we can provide one-on-one support for a range of tasks to reach your independence goals. Our respectful and caring team provide 24/7 person-centred care, so we are always there when you need us.

What is included with Supported Independent Living?

  • Assistance with daily living tasks such as cleaning and grocery shopping.
  • Personal care, such as assistance in showering, oral hygiene, dressing and toileting.
  • Medication management, including storage and administration of medication.
  • Assistance in lifestyle activities, such as engaging in your favourite hobbies, meeting new people, and engaging with the community.
  • Support to access medical and therapy appointments.
  • Assistance in personal development to support you in achieving your goals.

Supported Independent Living – Current Vacancies

Empowered Futures does not provide Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA) – we are all about the personal supports rather than the home itself. But we have successfully partnered with an SDA Provider – Best Life Homes – to provide wrap-around support for people with a disability who wish to live in the local area.

We currently have vacancies in a home in Ipswich. If you are interested in finding out more details please call our 1300 number.
