Empowered Futures has a vision to capture the well spring of talented people who have spent their lives investing in the disability sector. Empowered Futures has a vision to bring together a team of highly skilled people who share our passion for providing a genuinely person centered service. A group of people that are collectively committed to providing the highest levels of care for families and Participants experiencing the many challenges disability can present. A community of support that is committed to finding a way through the confusion, the apparent limitations, the budget constraints and the constantly changing environment.

Empowered Futures believes Participants and families deserve better and we are committed to doing everything within our power to be a part of the solution and to help discover a better way.

Carolyn Carolyn has 15 years’ experience as a carer for her daughter Lucy who died at age 15 in 2009. Carolyn was the chaplain at Mount Ommaney Special School for over 7 years and has facilitated a fortnightly MyTime support group for parents who have a child with a disability in the Mt Ommaney area. Carolyn is a qualified social worker. She has been a mentor for children grades 1-4, provided support to young girls who are pregnant or parenting a young child and seek to complete their schooling, she has a passion for research within the disability sector and is committed to providing the highest levels of case management and support to Participants and families experiencing disability. Carolyn has a deep understanding of the journey parents and carers find themselves travelling. She has trod many of the same pathways and has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the disability system.

Maima Maima is part of our Participant Services Delivery Team. She is one of our Participant Services Coordinators here at Empowered Futures. Maima has lived experience as a carer; as well as over 20 years of professional experience in managing, leading and motivating people. Maima is dedicated (known for going over and above), adaptable, caring and has a high level of emotional intelligence. Maima draws on her experience and character to ensure high quality services and supports are delivered to Participants at Empowered Futures every day. Maima also has qualifications spanning business management, leadership, performance, train the trainer, coaching, and six sigma.

Chloe Chloe is part of our Central Team. She is our Workforce Coordinator here at Empowered Futures.
