Empowered Futures has a vision to bring together a team of highly skilled people who share our passion for providing a genuinely person centered service. A group of people that are collectively committed to providing the highest levels of care for families and Participants experiencing the many challenges disability can present. A community of support that is committed to finding a way through the confusion, the apparent limitations, the budget constraints and the constantly changing environment.

![]() CarolynCarolyn has 15 years’ experience as a carer for her daughter Lucy who died at age 15 in 2009. Carolyn was the chaplain at Mount Ommaney Special School for over 7 years and has facilitated a fortnightly MyTime support group for parents who have a child with a disability in the Mt Ommaney area. Carolyn is a qualified social worker. She has been a mentor for children grades 1-4, provided support to young girls who are pregnant or parenting a young child and seek to complete their schooling, she has a passion for research within the disability sector and is committed to providing the highest levels of case management and support to Participants and families experiencing disability. Carolyn has a deep understanding of the journey parents and carers find themselves travelling. She has trod many of the same pathways and has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the disability system. |
